dynamique oil gauge - duff

G/fs 1.2 16V dynamique oil gauge seems to be a bit jumpy - anyone got any ideas why?

brand new 04 reg, done nearly 1k, only noticed it today. wasnt ragging it. one minute oil was reading low/empty, next min it was 4 bars up. Then moved again I think.

Checked oil in tank and it was ok.

Err I think your getting your dials mixed up the one on the dash is coolent temperature the only way to check the amount of oil is when you start the car is to press the computer button in.

The coolent temp increases from the bottom (it coldest) to about the middle when driving round. The gauge just shows its temp when starting the engine the coolent is cold it takes a while for it to heat up.
