Not that the engine bay was particularly bad before, i just wanted to give it more of an OEM look rather than all the red etc.
So, first image was taken the first week i bought the car:

First up was replace the header tank and a few bolts:

With the inlet off, it was clear that i had to do something with the rocker cover. Just used some silver paint VHT paint and applied with a brush.

I then sent the upper inlet, fuel guard, battery cover and the bracket for the cover off to the powder coaters. Inlet and guard done in silver and the other in matte black.
