Engine lost power 172 cup

Strange problem.

Driving on motorway for a few hours in the rain, pulled off slip then into a minor road. At this stage the exhaust note changed ( got louder) and then i had no engine power. The car was still drivable.

Pull over and inspected the car and all seems fine!

Continued to drive and the car coughed a fee times and the engine power returned!

Car has been fine since. The car is in ITB and gen90 ecu.

What could have caused this? Im thinking water into the throttle bodies or ecu making it run rich?

Any ideas guys?

could be a frayed throttle body cable? happened to my wife's RB 182 but very intermitantly, evenutally it gave out altogether. But i made a new link and has been perfect since

Turned out to be a broken injector on cylinder number 1. Big thanks a Chip and the guys for helping me out today ( at the Ring) and sourcing me a injector... Lucky aint the word.

As discussed, you were PROPERLY lucky to just happen to chat to someone in the pub carpark (porkie) who knew I would be able to fix it and have my number etc and then me just happen to have the right spare with me.

Spa yesterday was epic, so jealous you are still there now!
