Engine parts Polished/Powder Coated

Looking at getting my Inlet Manifold, fuel rail guard and engine mount/cover all either polished or powder coated.

Would polish dull very quickly or should it stay shiny with a weekly clean?
Is it possible to chrome plate each bit?

I have a Carbon Fibre engine cover with a Silver 172, what colours would you suggest powder coating if i go along that route?

if you have it machine polished then it'll keep looking good if you keep ontop of it once a week with a quick wipe down, and polish.

if you go for chrome plating you need to take it to a reputable company who will seal the bottom so that no chrome goes inside the plenum. imo its safer to have it machine polished.
