FAO: 172 engine valver/mk1 owners!!!

Im after pictures/discription of your aux belt setup please.

What alternator backets have you used?
Can you/have you used the 172 alternator?
Anything i need to know thats not obvious?

Im going to be binning all auxilary stuff on my ph1 172 soon (including pas pump) so i will just need to mount the alternator.

pinch an alt bracket mount and tensioner mount off a volve 340 or 440 with the 1.7ltr 8v engine in (F3P).

I have a few if you need one.

saw an old volvo 4 pot turbo in a scrappy the other day. Like the one that some people put in mk1's.

Is that the one?

its a renault engine yes, but you dont want the turbo one, just get the boggo one.

or you can just use a 172 cap alternator bracket and mount with a shorter belt, as i am running no pas or ac
