I only do it when i want to hear the "ROOAAR", but before i get onto a motorway i also connect it back up.

Ive noticed a major decrease in performance (0-60)with the air pipe of the box. Has anybody else noticed the performance decrease?????? But it sounds awesome!!!!!!!!!

I felt it was sluggish at low speeds, guess there is no airflow at all since the second (bottom) airbox pipe has its trumpet in the engine bay just below the airbox as well

At speed it might be ok, alternatively, get the cold feed pipe from a viper kit and fix it to the front of car so you get better/increased airflow into standard box.

Might be worth looking into.

Or just get a hoover pipe and bend it into shape. Elephant trunk style.
