FAO those who have fitted FK konigsport-Or anyone who can help

Few questions before i attempt to fit on saturday

The little white plastic washer thing with a slit in it, where does this go on the rear damper? As it seems to serve no purpose?

Also, the rear platforms, do they screw into the rear subframe? And do you then attach both the locking ring and height adjusting ring onto the other side? What is the bolt that goes through the bottom for?

1 more :) The nut on the top of the strut

Am i right in saying i dont need this, as ill be using my compbrake solid top mounts?

Thanks for any help :)

sod them little white things off, they do sod all, meant to stop dirt getting down the damper. Neither me or Middo have them on though.

The platform just bolts down through the oem platform on the rear, and both rings go on the top unless you take them off and run them at maximum lowness.

Word of advice, get some threadlock for the rear platform bolt as I lost the washer and bolt when they got shaken out! :rasp:

(If you come the meet you can see mine / middos)

Oh and chuck the split washer & nut that the fronts come with as they are just for keep the assembly together.

Fitted mine a couple of weeks ago so should be able to help:

I couldn't see the white washer on the diagram FK give, my mechanic couldn't figure out where it went either so left it off. If we had just put it on the strut don't think there would have been enough thread to screw on the top nut.

The rear platforms will make more sense when looking at the car. The bottom part of the platform (with the bolt) goes under the beam. Then the top part (basically a cylinder with both rings on) goes on top off the beam, the bolt then screws them together.

I put AST top mounts on mine and had to remove both the nut and strut cap (i.e. everything on top of the spring), presumably the compbrake one's will be the same.

So with the compbrake mounts i need to remove the cap that is holding the spring on? I would of thought i would leave this on, then use the spacer then the top mounts similar to the way my OEM set up is now?

Here's a pic of the AST mount on the coilover:

The black bit replaces the bronze cap that's on your coilover currently. I don't know what the compbrake mounts look like but I'd guess it's a similar set-up

So im leaving the silver spring top on, removing the nut. And fitting the compbrake top mounts with the small spacer inbetween the bottom of the solid top mount and the spring top on the coilover?

Yeh remove the top nut & that split washer and then what you said.

lol, well if your offering :)

Im just gona set them rock hard all round, and wind them softer till im happy :)

God knows about ride height tho, just make sure there all equal and adjust from there i suppose :)

Try rock hard all round! I drove down the road with them on that, not great!

They have 2 turns lock to lock, stick them on 1 full turn at first and work it harder to preference :rasp:

Cheers karl.

How low is it on that setting, with the rings at the bottom?

How did you tighten the nut and washer onto the mounts with the threads? As im assuming you need to have this as tight as poss so you can adjust the height with the two locking rings?

yeah its near enough as low as you can go on the back,

and just used an air wrench to tighten everything up,

and id adjust the height befor you put them on as its a bit of a pain to once there on lol

So with the rings at the bottom, that's the lowest setting?

Last question- camber afjustment bolts, are they needed? Have some in the post, but will they be ok for now with standard bolts top and bottom?

Im taking it just by adjusting the position of the bolt in hole for + or - camber.

Then tighten. Will get it checked properly afterwards but for now will be rite :)

Just hope its warm tommorow :)
