Few Quick questions about replacing 172 PH2 Steering wheel

  2050cc Corsa
Want to get a new one as have the classic issue of the standard wheel looking terrible

will proberly go for an OMP one, and hopefully get the resisters in the hub kit, are these litrally put in the connector for the airbag ?

also what is the deal with knicking the steering wheel "sensor" as it has been called when replacing the wheel with a aftermarket kit so i dont get a christmas tree;s worth of dash lights

cheers

sorry meant knocking the steering wheel angle sensor, typo ahoy !

and also, with connecting the aftermarket horn push to the standard loom, do the majority of hub kits come with a sub loom to connect these up ?

cheers

Is it ph1 or 2? The both need different hub adaptors and the ph1 only needs one airbag resistor.

^^^ What he said.

PH2 needs 2 resistors. I can send you a couple (I wont charge you anything as they cost 0.025 pence!)

With "most" PH2 hub kits I have seen they only send you one resistor in the pack though :S

The Momo one I bought from K-tec did and so did one I had from Rallynuts.

its a PH2, and is the fire issue down to people not heat shrinking the wires for the horn, as fitted loads of cars with aftermarket wheels and never heard of that issue before ?

cheers
