Hey guys, the Mrs's 182 went in for its MOT today and failed on a few issues...
Emissions
Rear strut leaking
Washer pump knackered
Now the rear strut has been changed no drama but the emissions is a weird one! There's a breather/vacuum hose coming off the top of the inlet and runs down into the bulkhead... that has melted... and is plastic!
Is it not meant to be rubber and heat proofed? It's sucking in excess air causing a few problems, stalling whilst reversing, poor fuel economy and now high emissions! Does anyone know a part number for said pipe please?
The car was bought 6 months ago from some knobhead who has bodged pretty much every job thay has needed doing and have a feeling he's done this too...
Also, it passed the brake test with flying colours but as the mechanic drove it round to park it up, the brakes did not work at all!! I thought it was just because of the uprated discs/pads but drove it and as he said, brakes were like pressing wood!! If he's bodged a brake servo or other problem then I won't be a happy bunny!!
