I', so so jealous. Love that thing. Please return the diamond to the front of it!

  Not a 320d
Yeah, Callum coming from a 1.2 to a 2.0 will be a lot more quicker.

My ph1 WAS astonishingly quick, but I spent a lot of money getting it that way.

Hmm. Fair enough mate. I remember owning a 1.2 clio and getting a lift in a 172 with someone once and thought it was blisteringly quick. Dat 5k kick.....

Worthy upgrade no doubt.

I can't believe this is the car I ruined my phase 1 for by doing the dash conversion. Would definitely do it again though. Didn't this car have trendlines in it at one point?

Yes, yes it did. My heart, soul and bank account was poured into that car. You name it, it had it.

Nice buy and good upgrade!

I honestly find the clios good on fuel, late 30's early 40's in both my 182's which is great for the performance.

Apart from the Sh*t wheels you did a good job... ^^

LOL!

I always had a 100000% mint set of silver f1's in the garage, but I sold it before I burnt the rubber off of those.

Looks good McMullet, enjoy!

Erroneous. You have worked on mine. ;)

He doesn't mean best car, don't worry, but it was the best car to work on. EVER.

Nothing was ever seized, nothing ever snapped, it always just came apart and went back together perfectly.

I should rephrase that, it was the best one to work one. The gearbox was so easy to do on this one I could have talked it to come out lol

Don't break it McPickle!

Love this 172, best one i've worked on.

I wondered why there's a bolt missing from the inlet manifold.

The gauge is indicating a pretty severe loss of oil too, I'll have to check it, but I've not seen any oil on the ground or smoke etc.

Less bolts= weightsaving...

Make sure it's sealing correctly if there's a bolt missing from there as that can cause dodgy revving.

It won't necessarily smoke if its burning oil or not. Does it still have the undertray?

It used to pool around the lower inlet, but I know it's all been rebuilt since then. Like totally. When it was for sale on eBay ages ago I messaged the bloke and he was a Renault tech, he'd near enough took it all apart engine wise, and re-built it.

Are you sure it's missing a bolt? Not just a hole for the engine cover bolts?
