Do a search mate. Lots of info on this kind of thing.

To start you off, the best place to run you power feed from the engine bay is through the bonnet release cable grommet in the bulkhead.

Doesnt really matter where the earth goes as long as its a direct connection to bare metal. Use a good sized, quality earth cable. Earth it as close to the amp as possible.

the power cable run through the bulkhead where the bonnet cable goes. you will need to pull the power steering resevoir up and out of the way then pull the heat/sound deadening away from the bulkhead a bit to get at it. Earth use the rear seatbelt stalk bolts under the rear seat base. run the rcas and remote wire up the drivers side and the power up the passengers side.

It depends on the power rating of the headunit as to whether or not you need to supply direct from the battery. I know Alpine units which are 4x60w come with a power lead complete with in-line fuse specifically for this.

Simply - Power (Watts)/ Voltage (Volts) = Current (Amps)

So if you have a 4x60w headunit 4x60w =240w

240w/12v = 20A

It is unlikely that your headunit would ever actually draw a 20A current under normal use, but its best to work on the fact that it might. It is better to have cables that are over-rated rather than under.

Id hard wire it if it were me. Its more work, but now you are uprating everything else and making the unit work harder, its better to be safe than sorry. Your better off blowing a fuse than setting your car on fire!!
