fitting a cup splitter to 182

  Titanium 182
Hi im wondering if anyone can give me any tips on fitting!, just got a genuine cup splitter as the one on my 182 was cracked, iv removed the cracked one and im just wondering how it will be best to fit the new one.

should i used the original holes in the bumper (from old splitter) to fit the new one and if so how do i mark them up on the new splitter which doesnt have any holes in it yet?

the guy i got it from said use masking tape to stick it on then just screw it?

he also advised me to get some bigger self tappers as the ones that come with it are fairly small!

thanks for any help!, going to fit it later and dont want to mess it up!

make all new holes with a drill.... and use all the new screws and the old screws..... i just line up each end... screw 1 screw in each... then it should be lined up and put the rest of the screws in :)

Dean - get a mate or your parents to give you hand, as holding it & drilling the holes will be a mission by yourself.

Yep, would be hard work on your own.

Not sure if you need to make new holes with a drill? - The splitter comes with self-tapping screws.

I used masking tape to help hold it in position.

same here masking tape or a mate to hold it in place and drill some new small holes and then self tappers just take your time with it.

If you want to do the job properly the best thing to do is to remove the bumper then fit it...that's what I did and it didn't take too long

I just drilled the hole in the splitter and then held the splitter upto bumper, marked up for holes in bumper, then drilled, screwed on. Maybe I was an idiot and / or lucky?
