Fitting powerflex mounts in to the dogmount

Hopefully should have my powerflex mounts for the dogbone mount this week, just a question regarding fitting, am I right in thinking there's no need to support the engine before removing the dogbone mount?

Logically thinking about it, you shouldn't need to because the two upper mounts will hold the engine in place just wanted confirmation before I have an expensive accident lol.

Nope no support needed, the dogbone is only to control forwards/backwards movement no weight on it as such.

just a quick one on this for anyone who's fitted them before, where do the two metal washer type parts go?

i was thinking the same but wanted to see what everyone else was doing, lets hope that rite then thanks

Those washers were a right pain in the arse to get in lol. I forgot to put them in at 1st . Made gear changes smoother but it still hasn't completely eliminated that slight crunch from 1st to 2nd when taking the revs high in 1st gear and changing quickly.

was it easy enough?

The hardest bit was getting the old mounts out of the dogbone mount, I only had to do the small one though as I bought a spare dogbone mount with the big rubber mount already removed. I ended up using a hacksaw on the small mount and cut through the rubber/metal then knocked the rest of it with a bolster chisel.
