Thought I’d set up a thread for this.

Got big hopes for this being set in Japan.
Rumoured to be released May 19th following a leaked in game screenshot.

Official gameplay reveal at developers direct on 22nd Jan

Also spotted this on TikTok no idea if it’s legit.

Yeah it was his first big job as a Dev after Uni and not having any work up here for a few years in the Industry, From Dundee as well which as you'll know had a healthy scene


Hopefully this one is a bit more of an evolution compared to the last couple which seem to have been a copy and paste really.

Edit, I'm wrong. He left Playground and joined Maverick a year back 😅

I probably won’t pick it up straight away, but I can see myself getting this at some point when it’s on sale or something.

I was surprised how much I liked FH4, picked up FH5 recently for literally one reason (I’m sure you can guess), but found it way too much of a cut’n’paste job. Not sure I’d fancy the same again, but at least the map will be more interesting.

I must say it’s incredible how well Forza runs, I get 120fps at 4k in FH4 and that’s just with a 3070, and it looks great.

Yeah can't wait for this, despite being late with FH5 I was hooked - have played it to the death. Superb game, but it does eventually become a bit too "samey" with all the tasks/events to complete etc. I became part of a clan/group that did weekly rival challenges which I really enjoyed.

Always look forward to starting fresh so FH6 will be epic, big hopes for some decent drift zones 😀

19th May can’t come soon enough.

Love the fact there is a proper progression system & you don’t just get a good car from the start.

I can see me losing a big chunk of time to this…… until GTA arrives 😂

There has been a lot of work on the sound apparently, they demoed it in the main vid & it’s definitely an improvement.

Looking forward to seeing all the customisation. Window stickers is a good addition.

Some sound alright but some still sound a bit w**k in that longer video. Not convinced they have improved them as much as they say but will see.

Proper full steering wheel rotation though. How long has that taken to appear in a Forza game 😂

Yeah this looks mega - seems as though they have listened to a lot of feedback and acted on it - I put a lot of hours into FH4 and FH5, this should be the same although as mentioned above.... It might be killed off a little when GTA is out! Presumably this will be on xbox game pass? I wonder what the deluxe/premium version gets you

I like the idea of a more constrained progression path. I found, particularly on FH5 that it was just a case of buy something interesting, immediately mod it to AWD and stupid power, do a race, get bored of it, then repeat.

If the money / progression system allows you to easily max out upgrades instantly, and have access to nearly all classes of car immediatley, it just becomes a bit same-ey.

Yeah it's coming on Game Pass, not sure you'll get early access with the standard version on gamepass though but for FH5 the upgrade to premium or whatever it was called wasn't much and got you early access

Agreed - plus it got to a point where there was about 3 trillion "NEW" things on the map to do at once, it probably won't be that much different to be fair lol.
Looking forward to just drifting about blasting music when I should be sleeping tbh....

Yeah, that's something that put me off with FH5. I'm not a 20-something zoomer with 8hrs of play time a night, and 'logging in' to be presented with a billion different options, events, online stuff, etc. is overwhelming and just makes me think 'f**k that' and load 'ball x pit' or something.

They ought to ship games like this with an 'old man' mode where it hides most stuff and takes you through a nice linear career path.

Premium “upgrade” Bundle is £59.99 if you download Horizon 6 via gamepass.

Seems abit steep for what you get.
Same price as the standard game! 😭

Same, I have moved over to ps5 now, this might be my last ever Xbox game which is a bit sad but I’ve accepted it’s dead.

I have GP so will play it on that until it expires, then make a call on if I buy it for ps5 later.

Actually agree with this! I hate games where there's just a ton of s**t thrown at the screen and it's hard to choose where to go and what to do. Same as on games where you have to constantly upgrade weapons etc. meh I can't be bothered with that... Goldeneye was peak! Get gun, use it, job done.

I wonder how much the sound dynamics change, and thus our perception of the engine noises, given the enhanced sound modelling they are doing? Hypothetical. No reply needed.

FH5 car sounds are pretty s**t, they just sound totally synthetic and computerised. Need to go back to early Forza games where the actually sounded like real engine and exhaust notes that had been recorded


Hopefully it's not just a select amount of cars that have this improved sound model but I fear it may be.

Need For Speed Underground 2 had better car sounds and that is now a 22 year old game.
