Most will point to DS2500 from Ferodo. What other rear pads apart from a good standard pad are there for fast road use?

To go along with the M1144 or just match them like for like?.I guess most maybe put off by how much & surprised and how much uprated rear pads are.
I have M1144 front pads,Braided lines all round with Castrol React Performance fluid & standard rear pads, they fell good to be honest with a firm pedal all the time.
Stance? 😂Cool colours will add to the stance as well
Really need to get my DSLR out and not rely on an old iPhone 6S 😂Love that side shot! (3rd pic)
What DSLR do you have?
I have a few lenses you can use if you want? F mounts, so should fit.
But irrelevant as you have no laptop to load them onto.
Bedded them in to the letter in the early hours after late shift last night and then drove home at a constant 50mph or so to allow them to cool slowly.Great update Frayz.
Colour looks awesome in the sun
Be interested to know your thoughts on RSL29's once you've had a chance to bed them in. Ran them on a previous car (M135i) and they were awesome, so would be keen to know how they perform on the Clio.
The paint's sacrificial anyway, the coatings never survive too well after a proper heat cycle anyway.FLOL at the "paint" on those pads now.. looks like you may have had a small thermal incident down there
Yeah, had a company re-web them as i wanted them new.I swapped over to black belts on mine, looks decent and no cleaning!
Edit: You took them somewhere to do this?!?! 172s use black belts
Can’t argue with that..Yeah, had a company re-web them as i wanted them new.
Belts from 172, looking a tad worn but does the trick.
Ive found some RS4-2 rear pads for a good price, did yours stay blue or did they incinerate?
Just because they're black doesnt mean they're not absolutely hanging 😂Can’t argue with that..

lol the flash makes them look way worseJust because they're black doesnt mean they're not absolutely hanging 😂
Nice work Frayz, glad to hear it seems to be back to full health. Out of interest, assume the ECU is completely stock on yours (no map/RS Tuner)?
As for forced induction, personal opinion is to leave it as it is. I think the engine in these cars, coupled with the "out the box" suspension and handling characteristics is what make these cars such a hoot. The fact you can extract every bit of performance out of it without doing stupid speeds is the appeal to me (I've been there with 400-450hp cars). When you go down the forced induction route, it starts to takes away some of the "usable" fun for me. I also just like the ability to rev out an NA engine. Just my opinion of course!
That said, because your chassis/drivetrain setup is so capable (R888's, AST's, Quaife, Roll Centre Kit), this exposes the reality that they only have around 170-180hp. On a standard car, I'd definitely be tempted to keep it NA as not to overwhelm the chassis/suspension. But on your car, there is an argument more power would not be detrimental at all.
If I was ever to go with forced induction on mine (and I don't plan on it!), I think I would opt for a supercharger kit over a turbo setup, for the linearity and because it would be more in keeping with the characteristics of the NA setup. Plus (hopefully!)... supercharger whine!
I have thought about ITB's or an RS2 setup on mine (as I say, want to keep NA) but I don't think it will happen. Can certainly see the appeal of the turbo kits, much more bang for your buck compared to ITB's or an RS2 which cost similar if not more!
Anyway, I'm sure you have some thinking to do. It's not like I have seen a couple of supercharger kits (one a Rotrex) come up for sale recently...
Looking great mate. Those seats are a thing of beauty.
I think long term I’ll be looking at the Clubsport feel.
Looks great as always! How you finding the noise with the seats removed? So finally nabbed some time to fit the black seatbelts and remove the rear bench. Black belts are standard equipment in almost all cars yet i really think they look better in here. The rear bench was never used even with the OEM seats in place, and absolutely cannot be accessed with the Pole Positions now fitted.
So as they were purely still there for decoration, I’ve decided to remove them and further add to my Clubsport theme.
So for a bit of fun, I had the boot mat embroidered with a logo i made up.
Lastly was the arrival of some 0.9mm wall T45 tube for another idea I have, so check back for updates on that.
