Thank you, I'm really happy with how it sits and how it looks out on road. After nearly 2 years I can't really think of what else there to move on to that ticks boxes like the Mégane.
Hopefully our paths will cross again at some organised car n coffee mornings or Cliosport meets

I do very much appreciate the kind words and comments. As said before, it’s no show queen and she’s “just a daily”.
But I love it, I’ve still got lots I want to do with it and can’t see me parting company with it for a long time.

Tried on her freshly refurbished winter wheels today.

Had these freshly refurbished and im not 100% happy with the job. I dont trust the company to get them right so im tempted to sell for something else.
Or do i buy a new set of Turinis, however they would be non Renault specific versions.
I've heard the Renault centre caps wont fit, does anyone know if this is correct?
This has led me to start looking at other rims for a change? Hmmm

I actually listened to the Orbisound video whilst in a traffic Jam yesterday! It sounds absolutely immense through my BMW Harman Kardon system. Proper beefy! I can only imagine how awesome it would sound with a throttle body setup! Imagine that!
Someone is going to get a sweet system!

Looking fresh on the Turini’s Frayz.
Whilst I still love them on a Clio, only negative for me is they’re on every Clio (same as 2118’s on mine though 😅).
Change would be good. Difficulty is, what? There aren’t many wheels that suit a 1*2 in my opinion.

And there lies the problem, the Turinis/2118s are tried, tested and timeless.
Then i find myself looking at some OZ Allegritas or some Enkei RPF1s.
Very light and very cool but would anything look as sweet on a mk2 Clio as a set of Turinis does?
Was certainly an eye opener going back to road tyres from R888s. The lack of grip and the fact i can hear myself think...
I didnt like it so drove straight home and put my 2118s/R888s back on

It is the problem.
RPF1’s are cool, but not sure I 100% like them on a Mk2.
Only other wheel I was seriously considering when I bought 2118’s, was some 15” Evo Corse wheels. Couldn’t find many pictures of Mk2’s on them to see how they’d look, but certainly think they could look pretty good.

Bit of a mix between Superleggeras and Turinis. NIce.
I think if i was going for that split 12 spoke design id go Superleggera. Ive even looked out for some forged options but there isnt a great deal availble and so many of them just dont look very nice.

I do like the style of your other wheels but for me the less desirable look (to turini pic) is more down to the fact they’re 15’s and look too small for the car.
Think the style would be great in 16’s (but they don’t do them do they?)
Or even wonder what anthracite compomotive TH2 in 16’s would look like.
I see people say 15’s look cool on 1*2’s but I’m not sold on that at all.

Ha, you boys know me too well, ive got the Compomotoive page open on my PC now and im on TH2s as theyre one of my all time favourite wheel designs. Again though, theyre outrageously heavy and ive already got one set of anvils in the 2118s. I cant have 2 sets

Much nicer, looks so much tidier and in my opinion really makes it a complete package with the silver/white of the headlights, indicators and bullets.
Never been a fan of the 2118's design, altough I'm not sure the chunkiness of the R888s would suit the turinis as I do think the 2118's and R888s work wel together.

Thanks to everyones comments on this.
I have taken onboard the feedback which largely mirrors my own. I have taken the speedlines to a different (unfortunately far more expensive) refurb shop here in Essex this morning to be completely stripped and refinished. These guys came highly reccomeneded so heres hoping for a good job. Annnoying to have to pay out twice, but this is what happens when you pay for a cheap job, all be it still £60 quid a wheel. Still you know when you have seen the limits of someones abilities and there wasnt even any point in taking them back to the original shop.
I'm going to stay with the silver though as i do think this clean look looks fantastic and super fresh against the inferno paint.

Was £60 a wheel the original refurb or the one being done now? I am a big fan of Turinis on a Clio, they just look perfect imo. I am biased though 😂

Within reason i dont mind what i spend but i want a proper job. I dont do poor work and dont expect to receive it.
I've asked the lastest guys to see if they can even stencil in the "Speedline Corse" logo for me so i dont have to use decals.

Good mate of mine Boyd @ BR Car detailing in Colchester put me on to Kyle @ Rim Renov8 also in Colchester.
He does all the wheels for Eurospares in Halstead (Ferrari/Lamborghini/Maserati) specialists and comes highly reccomneded. Fingers crossed.
Ive got high hopes those as he was talking in far more detail about stripping them back and then painting them black before refinishing them all by hand to make sure every surface is perfect before piming and then finally painting. As said above he is also going to stencil on the Speedline Corse logos so they will be painted rather than stickers too.
I was speaking to speedline today actually and they were saying the logo is literally the final step before they're boxed. Did make me wonder if they would reprint onto a wheel if you supplied it.

Yeah I know it’s a transfer that you can actually polish off quite easily. I know this because I did it on my Imprezas speedlines as I wanted a different colour.
These will be painted under the clearcoat so non chance of that at least.
Be cool if I could return the whole set to Speedline to refinish for me, I’d love a new set.
