Just wanted to find out how many people from the west midlands are going and if we could arrange a convoy down?

So was thinking people could put if there going and where abouts in the west midlands they are.

Im from central Birmingham. Could easily get to M42 - Hopwood or M6 - Corley Services.

We need some times for this though. The last two years ive been arriving at about half 8 which meant Hopwood for 7am. This allowed for the queues.

God knows what im doing yet, i was gona be getting up at 4am and setting of but duno whats best to do now.

But will probably meet people at M6-Corley Services unless theres any offers for setting of earlier, what time would we get to FCS for if we meet at 7am?

From the past two years, about 8.30 at the very latest including traffic going into Rockingham. Wouldn't of thought there was much point getting there much earlier, but not sure what others thing.

Can be earlier if the majority wants it to be, that is why i put the question marks next to the times.

Well this will be my first time going down i was just always under the impression you get stuck in loads of traffic if you get there to late. What ever the majority wants to do il work around it.

Forgot about this il meet people at corley services, if were sticking to the arranged times.

I will also be happy to meet people at shifnal services Jct 4 of the M54 at around 6:15 then travel to corley to meet the rest. Should be about a 45minute drive to corley.

Telford to rockingham Thats the route il be taking, and many others once they reach the M6.

Changed M54 from shifnal to cosford so will meet you there mate, any other people using the M54 give a location you would like to meet at after jct 4.

I wouldn't bother mate, or you will be stopping and starting...and as you'll be one of the furthest away in the West Midlands, you will use more petrol...better off getting everyone to meet at Corley and then all getting there for a certain time and setting off from there.

Then its M6 down to A14...I will see if I'm going...still in 2 minds after last year!

No worries at all mate as I'm about a mile away. Just try to arrange it so that everyone meets at Corley, then there's less responsibility on meeting people (as more stops equals more time on the journey), then straight down the M6 all the way to the A14...then you're most of the way there.

Just think of it like a chain...the more links, the more there is to go wrong!

Don't worry mate, any help is appreciated...just trying to give some tips to save you some grief.

We've got to get some meets going, but because everyone was organising their own meets...it seemed pointless in Mandy and I arranging something which could have been on the same day/weekend.

Well im more than happy to help arrange something with you mate, pretty much free any weekend and met a few people at these meets that are always interested in a good meet.
