Friday night out..... Maybe not.......

Well it all started out as a normal Friday night out, a few drinks at my place (not for the driver of course!). We headed off to the local bars, through the Merry Hill centre as is the shortest route, i'm sure anyone local will know it for its chav population.... Heading past the cinema and WHAM, a chav driving a Clio Cup 182 makes an illegal right about 5 yards infront of us, no time to react and we plough into him, we spin 180, he spins 180 narrowly missing a random sign on the pavement, resulting carnage below....

Apologies for the vast amount of dark pictures but we were in the peugeot btw. Good job we were only doing about 25 mph and wearing seat belts our it would have been a lot worse! The chav driving the clio was carted off in a police van, he was apparently 5 times the legal limit.... The split second before we hit him seemed like it lasted an eternity!

yea, we are all ok, not a scratch between us but still, it makes you think you never know what idiot is round the corner!

my mates car is a write off though and we are almost certainly going to be appearing in court to get this guy banned at least he was insured i guess! clearly that HUGE left arrow wasnt enough for him....

yea, i made dam sure i took a lot of pics, the police basically agreed with everything we had said and took our details etc. I imagine they will be in touch for a statement in the near future.

There should be zero tolerance with drink driving. A friend of mine had been drinking heavily, turned up at a party in a car, i straight up refused to get in the car one of my mates did. 4am the next morning i got a phone call from my mate who got in with him. Saying he was doing 60 round a 20, hit a parked car spun it 3 times into another 3 cars. Got out the car and ran.

However, he was caught.. But only got 15 months and ordered to pay like 200 quid court costs. Granted hes had a lot on with life... Still no excuse.

Should be straight up 24 month ban, pay for the damage yourself; drink driving should void your insurance. Everything else does.
