woke up this mornin to find a bottle of superglue by the side of my car and the rest squirted on my front wing.... if i find out who did it im gonna rip their legs off anyhow does anyone know what i can do to get it off. and iv tried tcut and nail polish remover...
Thats f*****g terrible. Wish I could help, but Im guessing whatever you use, even the release agent, its going to leave a very nasty mark on the paintwork.
ta mate iv got a feelin i know who it is...well iv been told so im goin kick his face in.... nice and mature!! anyone got any ideas on how to remove it?
If the wing is metal and not plasic as the 172s are, perhaps you could try heating the area up with a hairdryer so that the metal will expand and perhaps the glue will lift away.
Try the brilliant WD40 which has hundreds of uses, one of which is that it DISSOLVES GLUE!
CLEANS: WD-40 gets under dirt, marks and grease making it easy to wipe away. It also dissolves adhesives, allowing easy removal of labels, tape, and stickers.
DISPLACES MOISTURE: Because WD-40 displaces moisture, it quickly dries out electrical systems to eliminate moisture-induced short circuits. Turn the power off before you spray
PENETRATES: WD-40 loosens rust-to-metal bonds and frees stuck, frozen or rusted metal parts.
LUBRICATES: WD-40s lubricating ingredients are widely dispersed and hold firmly to all moving parts.
PROTECTS: WD-40 protects metal surfaces with corrosion-resistant ingredients to shield against moisture and other corrosive elements.
If its a plastic wing then Id probably say its new wing time as the glue could well have melted the wing Hope you get it sorted, thats not a nice thing to happen.
thanks for all ur help ppl im gonna try and get it off today with some of the stuff suggested....
