Genuine Cup splitter....

  Black 182 FF
I've just recieved what is supposed to be a genuine Cup splitter from eBay and is brand new. However now it's arrived and I've unpacked it it's got no holes to screw into the bumper - but four cut out parts at each end and in the middle section of the splitter there's four resessed parts of the same shape.

Having not had a look at the underside of the cars bumper (182) I'm not yet sure how they fit on - can anyone give me an idea and I'll provide a photo of the splitter asap.

thats sounds right with the no holes and the cut outs, they usually come with some self tappers to just screw them to the bumper

Ah so it's a line it up and screw into the bumper job?

Having looked at the bottom of the bumper I was kinda hoping the screws in the bottom of it would just need to come out and the splitter would have screws in exactly the same places.

all depends who fitted if! (with what you will have) some have washers used others drill straight through!

bit drunk tonight paul??

he speaketh the truth however, bumper off, lay it down, get a friend to hold it in the right place (tape it in place) and then use self tappers to screw it in place.

it should have some cut outs!

Yeah realise that after looking at the bottom of the bumper and the screws that are in it.

Got the splitter fitted now, looks ok considering I done it with little space and by myself.

Yes, a Golf Gti 182 (I did mention 182 in the first post :rasp: ).

Or maybe I've just been too lazy to change the 'car' part of my account?
