Good ICE in a stripped Clio?

If I've stripped the rear and put in a rollcage, where / how should I install a powerful speaker system?

I won't accept the 'one or the other' argument. I want rally looks and a Ministry of Sound system!

Oh and its gotta be reasonably stealth! That is, not look like more than £100 speakers.

Btw I'm running the new Sony mp3 player that takes USB sticks. Fantastic stereo for under a ton.

fabricate either some fibreglass or mdf mountings for them and bolt them in,use the speaker grills so they dont look so "attractive"

You arn't going to be able to get it sounding ace unless you sound deaden absolutley everything (with it being stripped)
But as matt said fibreglass pods

Yeah, the road & exhaust sound is definately more noticeable without the rear fittings, but this is part of the drive. I don't mind it competing with the music. Will it sound significantly sportier with a performance exhaust or is it impossible to get this on a 1.2?

Yeah, deviating slightly from the original ICE related question (which has been answered)! But its all about sound. What I'm asking is if I can get a significantly more sporty sound under my stripped rear by fitting a performance exhaust.

yeh you would but unless you go down the custom route it would be mega loud and as i said to get any sort of decent sound (from the ice) you would have to sound deaden everything...so you have to have one or the other really.

well like i said its up to you, but it seems a waste spending a fair bit on a sound system to not use it to its full advantage.

Any sports exhaust you put under a stripped interior will be mega loud. Thats teh idea of the sound deadening you removed.

Can you not carpet the stripped rear, fit some dynamat to the underside of it.
