Graham's summer 172 cup track car

@colesy is now the lucky owner of this car. It's a great shame I didn't get to use the car to it's full potential, particularly on the ring like it was built for but life moves on and I'm very happy it's gone to a home which will drive it hard!

Thank you to everyone who watched the build videos. With it gone that does of course spell the end of filming for the channel with this car. I would still like to put out the odd video now and then but the replacement car is probably not as interesting to the audience as it'll be kept standard. I have a JDM polo I'm doing some wiring on....very niche ha

If time allows I would like to do a video on the ring trackday which we hope to do in June.

I’ve just realised this is the car from YouTube 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 Some fantastic content and very inspirational. Kick started my obsession to work on mine. As above - glad it’s sold on and not been broken. Might even see it out on track in 2022. But don’t hold me up 😉😂

I thought I would update on NUP as after 6 and a bit years, the rear 1/4 is fixed. The car is performing great and all being well may be being raced at some point this year (if I stop buying clios!)

@colesy god that's good to see, it desperately needed that sorted. Sounds better than ever with all the bits you've done. I do miss it that's for sure but glad you're using it and have big plans for it!

Thanks Graham, it does look so much better I must say! Definitely got lots of plans and now I’ve got an RB to get stuck into as well.

some pics from the last track day at donington before the 1/4 was fixed.

Thought I would update on NUP, unfortunately she is now an N/A car again. It was proving difficult to race the car somewhere where I wanted too while being turbocharged.
I had 2 choices:
Sell/break the car and buy something else
Or the route I chose swap the running gear over from my RB 182.

So now NUP is running a standard 182 engine but with a gripper and the RB is running the turbo engine and gripper.

It was so much work to do on a driveway but I managed to get them swapped over in a couple of weekends and evenings back in August.

Next up for NUP will be a trip to EFI for a map, then to a 750mc/maha approved dyno for the hot hatch championship im going to be racing in in 2024. The Classes are done on power weight, for class B I’ll be in its 175bhp per tonne.
I’m aiming for 180bhp then get some weight out of it and off me.

I started doing some YouTube ramblings, not on the level of @GrahamS YouTube but someone might find it interesting 😂
