Oh yeah the search button.. im gna get cs raped for not using it now

just basics for cleaning the paint up and sealing - Simple SRP and EGP from AutoGlym.

what stuff to use on the tyres - Megs endurance gel

best stuff to clean the windows with - AutoGlym glass polish

best way to clean arches etc - Take the wheels off and scrub with a
brush, coupled with a degreaser of some sort. Cheapest is Daisy from Tescos.

and something for cleaning leather without ruining it :) - Leather care from any company TBH. AutoGlym is perfectly acceptable.

All the above is available from Halfords. And not too costly.

Washing..

2 buckets, 2 mitts, some brushes.. Foam if you're feeling flush. Decent shampoo

Drying..

Decent towel from CYC or i4D.

Polishing..

Machine or hand? Machine - Whole range of different products.. Hand - Autoglym SRP is good enough.

Sealant..

Chemical Guys Blitz

Wax..

Swissvax Onyx..

Misc

Plenty microfibres, applicator pads, quick detailer.

Wheels

I don't really like wheel cleaners, but Meguiars Wheel Brightener can be diluted.
Blackfire Tyre shine

Thanks :star:

also what is the best thing to apply these with jsut s smooth cloth not those shitty yellow ones? and sponges are bad?

Yeah, but not if he is doing it 50%. Which if he is not machining it, he is!!

All the above (to the OP) is exactly what you should be using. But not for a 4x4. And not if you are not going to prep the paint work. All that I listed will cost you a fraction of the above (wax is £40).

My reply is just a standard reply ;) Didnt really read the OP TBH..

Saying that, 2 buckets is a good idea.

and one last question, is using a machine polisher difficult i.e is it easy to burn the paint?

Noob detailing questions over now :)

Have you done machine polishing before?

No; get someone else to do it. You can damage paint, or just waste your time and money

Yes; buy a DAS6

il look into those two polishers and see whats different about each and try pick one lol

From the above comments? Don't buy one.

You haven't a clue (no offense) :) Get it done by somebody and concentrate on keeping it in good condition.

But judging by your avatar, it's a proper 4x4 (meaning it goes off road), so IMO waste of time.

I am a detailer. The R8, Aston, RS6 and RS4 are detailed. The mum mobile Legacy estate is lucky if it gets a wash.
