Help with pre tensioners

I have removed my rear seats on my 172 cup and want to remove the seat belts but they have the dreaded pre tensioners fitted. I've heard you can fool the system with resistors and was just wondering if anyone had done this and what resistance i would need to fit?

i tried 3.3ohm resitors yesderday, didn't work for my cup.

Is it just a case of measuring the resistance across the connector then fitting something to suit?
