How to re-attach loose sideskirt on 03 172 cup?

Im collecting my new (well new to me:rasp 172 cup on thursday, on the small list of jobs the garage was to correct prior to collection - one was to re-affix the passenger side skirt which has come loose near the front wheel arch.

He contacted me today to say he couldnt source any clips from the Renault dealer and suggested riveting the skirt instead:S, is this required - are they riveted as standard or are clips used to attach them? I dont see how it can be riveted without said rivet being visible:S

Any suggestions?

The clips are riverted onto the side of the car then the skirts sits on top of the clips!

Iirc, there are about 5-6 self tappers along the botton into the sil which secures it there.

If you want, you could put a bolt/self tapper in either end of the skirt to secure it into the inner wheel arch but they are pretty strong without them.

Final query - do renault sell these clips?
