Hub nut too tight?

cal

Can the hub nut cause any problems if overtightened?

I haven't got a torque wrench, so just tightened with a metal bar as much as it would go

wil this be ok? someone told me this can damage wheel bearing?

Cheers

Cheers for response, looks like gonna have to invest in torque wrench! Would I notice if the bearing is f**ked coz did drive it after and seemed ok?

If the bearing is fucked u will usually feel it through the steering when braking or load is on the wheel. It can sometimes make a noise too.

Just get it torqued, halfords sell them.

Not sure buddy, i'd see if you can get hold of a torque wrench an torque them properly just to be on the safe side
