Recently changed my wheels from turini's to these to save a little bit of weight, Cup is currently stripped at the rear awaiting the next phase of weight reduction. Currently sitting at exactly 1000 kg's with the air-con still to come out

There's no weight in the ballasts... but you're taking the optional aircon out of a cup (pretty rare option)... how much do you think the aircon weights and how much do you think you're really going to notice it?

Car looks good on those wheels though.

20kg to be lost in the air con alone mate, doesnt sound much but when the rest of the remaining furniture is removed it should make a healthy difference.

About it being a rare extra, to me it doesnt seem like a propper cup unless its got no air-con, that and the fact I dont even think it works and never once needed to use it over the summer.

Love these wheels, look like they could do with some TLC though.

Cheers mate, yeah they could do with a refurb some time soon, car is coming off the road in the winter for a bit of TLC as it's getting on now I'll be replacing a lot of worn parts so next year it should feel brand new again

looks well on them dude! whats next for it?

Well mate I got hold of another BTB exhaust for it, saving up for some billstein or KW coilovers, taking it off the road for the winter so going to be powerflexing as many bushes as I can, powdercoat the subframe and hopefully get some nice seats and 4 pots on before next summer :)

Chris, are you going to fit an dynamique spoiler to save some more weight?

Wasn't particularly on my list of things to do as it's a cup I'd prefer to keep it looking that way, just losing weight here and there with things that I dont need or want

Because a cup spoiler gives more downforce over the dynamique one? What % increase in grip are it giving you?

lol enough downforce to put an f1 car to shame, don't even get me started about the trophy spoiler, you put that on and the front end starts lifting, unless you've got a cup splitter, then it evens the load ;)
