But why does it have to be booked in for a cambelt In July that's what I don't get. If I had the cambelt done and never drove the car for a couple years, would I have to have the cambelt done again? Probably not.... I'm pretty sure it goes on miles. Look it up.

In all seriousness then if this was as great a deal as ur makin out, then u would have got it by now. Or someone else would have. He's obviously keen to get rid as he's lowered the price so many times. Maybe he knows it won't pass the mot? Which if it's due next month, maybe that's why he's so desperate to sell...... Dont matter how good the interior or exterior is, they don't test that lol.

I would walk. But thats just me......

Because its due and Id rather have it done than be doing 70 and have it go on the M25 in rush hour lol! Yeah I see where your coming from, the reason I havn't got it is because I've been trying Cups as well and having never driven an rs, wanted to get a feel of things. Has MOT etc. I know Im taking my time but wanna check as much as I can, end of they day its a ot of money.

Rubber belts still perish whether they're being used or not. It will need changed in July, the mileage is irrelevant.

A good car other than over priced by a grand, plus need of a cambelt in 5 months. Offered 1300 plus my car so essential 2k for a ph1 and was a no so walking away from this one, just doesn't sit right with me knowing ill have to pay out as soon as I've bought it! Might go see a Cup tomorrow....

Yer I would too, sounds very dodgy, looks like a accident waiting to happen, cars which have sat around tend to stiffen up and fail!! :dead:

Seen a 172 Cup nearby guys and girls, private though :S Up for 3.5k 57k on the clock cambelt done at 49k 2 years ago? Fair?
