Im now one of u!!!

:D

Well chuffed.

Just purchased a black valver on a K, 65k mint condition, ownedby ian from here. just finished work (0400) after giving it a nice jentle run-in with 5up! came out of tesco carpark to be followed all theway home by 2 coppers, got a producer in the 1st day of ownership!! that really sucks, but copper was sound as f**k, he used to have a willy2, was telling me that he missed it! said the car was nice and that he was sorry for pulling me, but he had nothing better to do and wanted to chat to me about the car!

Nice to know that thereare still some coppers out there that are actually sound with young lads in hot hatches.

Anyway, couldnt believe how quick the pickup was in every gear with 5 in the car, couldnt put my foot down without smiling:D

Oh yeah and can anyone tellme do phase 1s have a seat height adjuster, and whats the oil gague on the left of the centre panel??? and how do i change my username???

cheers guys for encouraging me to get a valver.

Dont think you can change your username without re-registering, but I could be wrong. I think you should change it now to avoid Corsa jokes heh heh.

Some late Phase 1s had a seat height adjuster I think. My mates RT (could be different for the 16v) does and his is an L plate, it also has these things which make the seat firmer and stuff, hes got a sunroof that raises and it also goes backwards, fuel cap with an indent for the key and er, squarer seats. Mines a Phase 1 on a J plate but doesnt have any of the above crap...

Oil guages (from left to right) are;

Oil Level. Should come on when you turn and leave the key in the position just before ignition (whatever thats called, too early in the morning/late at night to think right now!), itll drop when the engine gets started. But dont be a lazy bugger check the oil manually!

Oil Temperature. Dont boot the car until yer car is warm as you will know...

Oil Pressure. Dont have a frickin clue about this one, doesnt seem to move much but I think if it went up to 6BAR you should get worried??!

Anyway congrats on buying a Clio, welcome to the posse, "BO!", you just need to send off a few quid for membership now ;)

Yeah, except the willy ones are blue. these are normal black with orange needles on the phase 1 and white on the phase 2 16vs. i fink.

Tiger - the 16v is practically the same car as the Willy! Main differences are the gbox (different ratio for 5th), 1998cc bottom end, clutch, starter motor, shocks/springs, front suspension lower arm, interior trim, wheels and colours!

Rear spoiler? First ive heard.

Yeah the left centre dial is ur dipstick, i always let mine warm up to atleast 60 degrees on the oil temp gauge before taking it over 3.5k.

Pressure should be up to 6 bar when first started in the morning untill warmed up & when taken over 6k revs. High pressure is a good thing BTW.

Congrats on becoming a Valver owner. So is it standard mate?

apart from a magnex back box and a k&n its totally standard as far as im aware. Well looked after before i got it, and now it will be treated like a king. Already raced my mate who though his 1.4 16v corsa sport was in the same league as me. lets just say he wasnt smiling when he got out the car!!!

Hey, Corsa SRi, u think its quick now, put ur original airbox back on & itll throw u back in ur seat in 1st & 2nd.

Im putting my PiperX IK back on with home-made heat shield as i cant live with-out the sound, but the K&N will be slowing u down mate.

The Willy spoiler is actually a fraction bigger, though the same style. Youd hardly notice.
You sure ben?
