Insurance 17 year old

I have a 1.4 mk4 golf and i cant get my insurance any lower than 1370.. ive heard that theres always one cheap company every year, like tesco etc I cant seem to find anybody at the moment who can do it any cheaper. The cheapest ive found is prudential. If anyone has just got insurance recently and has any tips/tricks or anything to help me save money then please speak up!! god i hate insurance!

My insurance on mine aint too bad. I was getting quoted £1800 on many sites. I added my parents onto it, which dropped it down to £1600!. Although I was then told about www.bell.co.uk They Quoted me £1200 fully comp, which aint bad. I am happy anyway. 20 With 2 years NCB

agree there, my clio 1.4 was £1400 at 17, n i thought that was cheap considering.....

im almost 17, looking into a 1.6 coupe, the car would be free from my brother or cheap anyway!
so could make up the money on insurance... would hope it'd be less than £1500 though. - 15 days till i start learning

its not going to get a great deal cheaper being a 1.4 mate tbh, but try Quinn Direct.

Tbh 1300 seems to be about right, my 1.4 clio was about that at 18. The supermarkets always give good quotes for me, try bell/admiral/elephant/direct line too but don't think you'll get anythin much better.

As above add your parents, though adding my dad increased mine, my mum took about 100 off.

Im 17 with a 1.2 Clio and its £2200! so i would snap that up ASAP!
