is that petrol i smell??

hey guys just wonderin because im scared 2 light me cigy while driving.
when my car is cold n im waitin 4 the bazer 2 heat a little, i can smell fuel coming thru the heater vents.
o my cars a valver.
wat wud be causin that?
is there a common fault

I can't remember exactly what the problem is but I've heard of it before, there may even have been a recall about this iirc, but I'm not sure if I'm thinking of something else. A common problem is that the fuel lines can be worn through as there clips can be broken but I don't think that would be linked to this as you would notice the petrol going missing if the line had split.

you had a cam belt done lately seen one where someone had put the pipes back wrong and the alternator belt had rubbed though the fuel pipes

At that age fuel lines can crack also injector seals are rubber so perrish.

the owner b4 me had the cambelt changed.
but its only when its cold when the cars at temp the smell magicaly dissappears.
the doesnt seem 2 be losing petrol.
