ITG panel filter, benefits? Also difference between 172 + 182 air filter housings???

Hi guys

ok won a ITG panel filter for £10 off flea bay, what difference will I get? Not expecting miracles but surely will help her breathe better??

Also read things on get a 172 air filter housing as they are better, how? My mate has one and I can have it for £10, is it a straight swop? So easy to do? But whats the difference???

172/182 airboxes are the same afaik. It's ph1/ph2 that are different. Both will fit.

The main one is difference in length between changes!

On my 172Cup it seemed to pull a bit better, but that could well be placebo.

The 172/182 Airboxes are the same...its the phase 1 172 airbox which is different IIRC.

Thanks guys, will let you know what its like when it arrives but car is in for full cambelt kit and dephaser pulley, aux belt, plugs and oil and filter next thursday at Renault specialists in Kendal.

as said the Ph1 172 airbox is a good comprimise with looking stock/price/performance/noise.

The advantage you will have is the filter can be washed, so you won't need to buy a new one.

When I tested them, the aftermarket filter element gave 1bhp more than the standard paper element
