Jammer's Titanium 182 build

Car  Titanium Silver 182
Morning Guys and Gals,

I've been lurking on Cliosport for the best part of a year now without posting much at all!! So here goes.

I own a 2004 '54' Titanium Silver 182 with both cup packs.
Sat on 111,000 miles now!
I bought the car in June 2013 and started the mods not long after the below picture was taken. A track day at Castle Combe soon highlighted areas for improvement.

This is her standard and dirty!
(Sep '13)

Over the next 12 months the following bits and bobs got fitted.
-Mtec grooved discs
-Mintex pads (can't remember the code - but they're useless anyways!)
-Dot 4 racing fluid
-Braided hoses
-Eibach Pro kit
-New OEM cup dampers (rear)
-Federal RSRs all round
-PMS stainless steel cat back and decat
-Forge induction hose (in bright red for my inner chav )

Here's some pics -

Whilst fitting the brakes I found that the bottom coil on the drivers front spring was completely detached!! Haha!
Scary thinking that I'd not long done a track day - so the Eibach kit was soon put on.

Whilst waiting for the funds to appreciate again I kept busy with small mods -
-Fog light removal
-Headlamp washer removal
(Replaced with gromits)
-Skoda Fabia splitter
-Obligatory electric tape French flag!

My mates 182 cup had a broken foglamp, seeing as both of mine were in good condition I switched out his buggered one for a pint (which I'm yet to receive!!!)

Had to remove the front bumper to get the car on the stand!
This was for exhaust fitting -
Took about 4 hours of cutting and heating to get it off!
I have no photos of the removal/installation of the stainless - sorry.

Let my friend loose with my phone!
I'm not a big fan of the 3" tail pipes the majority of the aftermarket exhaust come with so I haven't put them on!
I cut enough of the rear bumper so it doesn't melt and finished with a £1.49 door guard for Motorworld cut to size
 it's an acquired taste but I love it - and the sound of the PMS decat/catback is awesome!

Cheers
James

Unfortunately all is not well at the moment.
After a remap the head was running too hot and she spat the the contents of cylinder 3 out of the exhaust!

My fault - lesson learnt about modifying a car with a lot of miles.

At the local Renault specialist before the tow home. The Ranger towed it home like a boss!

This was taken last Thursday, the 182 is currently sat on my drive awaiting parts to fix her. Deadline is May 2015 as my mates are off to the Nürburgring and my Clio WILL be there! Engine to be forged over winter - still need to figure out where to go. Coilies, wheels and better brakes to fitted as well :)

I'm looking to spend about 3k on the engine - if anyone has any ideas as to where it can go by all means let me know :)

Cheers
James

Haha! I know - its still nice and shiny so you can see it in direct light however it is pretty much a 'secret system'

No not yet, I'll be trial fitting them tomorrow. I'll pop a photo up then.
In the back of the vxr looking lovely!

Really happy with them Kelv, was good to meet you too :)

May as well post an update too!
So I've just picked up the wheels from @Kelv today.

A JMS induction kit arrived in the post last Friday courtesy of @awretham

Picking up a new front bumper and bonnet tomorrow from @Shaunkealaher as mine are battered (previous owner + a low brick wall = tatty front end!!)

The clio is still sat on my drive feeling sorry for itself with a seized engine however a new engine has been sourced to be collected end of November.

That's all for now folks :)
