Hi Everyone,

Bought this 2 weeks ago for £700, 87000 miles, 2 owners. Needs a bit of touching up on the mirrors but apart from that the bodywork's in good condition . Just done timing belt and water pump as had not been done since new. Yesterday also changed the dash lights to yellow LEDS which was a very fiddly job lol!

Plans:

• Color code bumpers/handles
• Lower it all round
• Refurb alloys black or white

Any other things to do with her?

I wish I couldve got hold of the correct colour for my own car and been able to spray paint car parts well lol. Would've saved me a lot of money :dapprove: ha

Not doing anymore work on it at the min as its in the garage with either the gearbox or clutch dead on it, hopefully find out what it is by Monday

did you only mask off that little bit when spraying the front insert?

looks a cracking job though

Yeah i uncliped the 2 corner bump strips off the bumper and just masked the insert off , still needs some touching up in some places but waiting to see what the garage say on Monday and hope its not too much money

Went to halfords for the paint, used grey primer & satin black off the shelf for the wheels, about £30 - £40 i spent and borrowed the sander from a garage i know to sand them down to metal.

oh dear, i masked off the entire front/bonnet and wings when i sprayed my old fog light surrounds and still managed to get a little bit of overspray on the bonnet :dapprove:

Managed to get the car sorted, its had a new gearbox & clutch which set me back £270 fitted . Moneys abit tight at the min so looking for little things to do now, anyone got ideas?

Lol! on my to do list Knuckles got the spoiler and bumper rubbed down, just waiting for some nice weather to get them painted

What LEDs did you use? Just curious as I am wanting to match up the appropriate type of diode so I don't need any resistors
