Stellar as always 👌🏼
Epic updates as usual mate
I would swerve the Ns-2R, not a touch on the Yoko Ad08R. Wet grip is terrible on them, and dry not much better, they do nothing in the cold damp conditions, as i found out when the back end let go and sent me into the armco a couple of years ago.
I can't believe you're still putting effort into this old shed. I bet the wishbones aren't even powder coated are they? Amateur 🤣🤣🤣.

Interesting, i daily drove on NS2Rs for 3 or 4 sets when i first had my Clio and was amazed at the level of wet weather performance from them.
Almost spooky how much grip they had as opposed to what i would have otherwise perceived a so called track tyre to have.
Superb tyres for the money in my experience. All I've personally found from AD08s is they're worse in the wet and wear faster in the dry.
I don't rate the NS2R's either, much prefer the PS3's on a day to day basis on a road based car. cracking all round performer and can pickup the ex ginetta ones on ebay for around 100 quid a set of 4. no brainer imo.
car however is as ever putting my heap to shame, I must try harder! lol!
Do these come up on ebay often then? Sounds a bargainI don't rate the NS2R's either, much prefer the PS3's on a day to day basis on a road based car. cracking all round performer and can pickup the ex ginetta ones on ebay for around 100 quid a set of 4. no brainer imo.

Thanks Martin.
I thought all cap heads was high tensile. 10.9 and above? I presumed I was changing like for like with the top mounts. Obviously I'll stand corrected as I'm no expert.
I thought it was just hex head bolts that came in a 8.8 (alternator) but seen as that's no real strain I didnt think that one mattered.
As you said, the other ones are not as vital.
He should really donate his car due to this!Looks great Mark, lovely beading there 👍.
More bad news re the stainless bolts I'm afraid: https://www.albanycountyfasteners.com/blog/2017/09/15/stainless-steel-and-aluminum/ so any cast aluminium parts you've bolted through with stainless and your pms top mounts which are made from aluminium need changing really. Good job you like tinkering eh😂👍.
Not technically hi tensile iircOr buy some titanium ones
Depends which grade you buy. 6AL-4V would be more than adequate. Not technically hi tensile iirc

Titanium for the most part won’t react with anything in terms of corrosion. The only issue you can have is galling and micro welding of the surfaces if you were to crank the hell out of them.Ok mate thank you. I'll order them then 👍
Never dealt with titanium stuff before. I just presumed that all cap heads was HT at 10.9 and/or above. But because it's going into ally top mounts and then reading the above pist that @0ss posted, I want to make sure it's not going to give me issues later on if/when I need to remove them.
Most cap head bolts that haven't got A2/A4 engraved in the top will have 12.9 engraved, from what i've used anyway.
A2/A4 is the grade of stainless steel, short for 302/304 with 304 being classed as marine grade.
To be honest, all the lad on those mounts is not really on the hardware as all they really do is stop the dampers falling out when the wheels are unloaded. The stainless ones would have been fine id have thought anyway.
This is the nicest blue’est RB.
Sits so well and the wheels set if off perfectly 👌🏻
Definitely keep it as it is Mark. My favourite RS of all time! Much envy 🙌
Yeah, don't change the wheel colour! It looks great Mark and it's one of the nicest ones I've seen in a long time!
100% keep it, such a classy looking combination.
How many miles on the old thing now?
Definitely keep as is. I'll never be a lead wheel fan, but it just wouldn't be right on anything else in any other colour
