Another update, this one sponsored by Halfords as that's where I've got everything I've used haha;
Laquer
Primer
2500 paper
Touch up scratch kit
And
A halfords special order of 267 Renault Black Gold spray can :up:
Close up of the touch up kit:
Consists of a needle/brush for fine touch ups, primer, laquer and an empty bottle as they don't do black gold anywhere anymore (even though they have trophy capsicum red?!) so used my 30ml touch up bottle and filled the empty needle/brush bottle:
Need to go to my brothers to get some thinner in it too as its too thick to use as is. So "pro" touch ups will be in future updates.
Meanwhile, engine cover time!
Dog decided to help for all of 5 seconds.
Sanded down as much as I could and degreaser cleaned with the tiny bit of cleaner I had left that came with the forever black kit
So got it all in primer. Few niggles I had to sand back down once dry and reapply but got there:
Then some progress, here's some shots before laquer;
Then some with a coat of laquer;
Tried to get the iPhone to show the gold, so this is the best I/the phone could do;
Then I've had this for ages. Bought along with "air bag" and "RS182" from Ady on here
Stuck on then laquered over
So off to dry for abit and then itching to see what it would look like on :blush:
So:
Put the battery cover back on for a sec
Yeaaaah :smile:
Once the liquid yellow inlets & throttle body and gloss black fuel rail guard goes on..
Towards the near future, one of the last things I'd like to do is buy the stupidly priced yellow coolant silicone hoses, £££ but
Overall I'm impressed with it. Got quite abit left over too.
Meanwhile
Dat shine.
