Just got a new phone, techno r****d needs help. Again.

I've currently got a full up slow as s**t iPhone4. On orange/EE.

I've just got an iPhone 5s (?) on orange/EE. Direct from orange so brand new in the box.

What do I do? I've got a new SIM card for the new phone but I don't want to lose my messages, pictures, etc etc from my old phone.

Can someone help me please?!

Back up old iphone to itunes.

Plug in new iphone to itunes.

Then restore from your back up.

Will be your iphone4 straight onto your iphone 5s.

It may take a while to transfer all the apps, photos etc over if you are using all of the memory.

On old phone
settings > iCloud > Storage & Back up > Back Up now

Take new phone out of box, and go through the set up process when you turn it on - as long as you put in the same apple id as the old phone when asked everything should be transferred.

Icloud only does 5gb iirc of cloud storage as standard for back up. So unsure if you could back everything up that way Daniel.

If not they'll still be on the old phone for you transfer across some other way.

It doesn't wipe the old phone (you can do that later) - it just copies the backup across to the new phone so it should be exactly as you had it.

Aaah, this is a good point, and one that I forgot about (I have more iCloud space).

If you have't already, it's well worth making a permanent backup of these. Just in case you lose your phone or similar.

Store them on a pc and then on a standalone hard drive which you can put somewhere safe.

If it goes to a non- iOS10 iPhone, it'll be part of any MMS allowance you may have (but likely wont)
If it goes to as iOS10 iPhone, it's an iMessage so is just part of your data.

Have you had a screen replacement at all? If so, TouchID becomes nulled. Alternatively, if the phones out of warranty, pop it open and see if the connection is loose.

Nope. The 20% is just a 'layer' if you like. The alarm will still go on behind it.

That 'battery low' thing has woken me up a few times. I've tried to snooze my alarm which I can normally do with my eyes closed but it wouldn't turn off.. alas, that stupid pop up was stopping me do it!

I've never really understood Apple's attitude to volume. You can set your volume quite low then click on a link that takes you to YouTube for example, that then proceeds to almost blow the speaker apart.

Surely whatever you set your phone's volume to - should be the same level across every app that you open?

Volume buttons on the side adjust volume of music, apps etc.
To change ringer volume go to settings > sound & haptics then change the ringer volume with the slider, this stays the same regardless of music volume (unless it's on silent ofc)

I'm sure sometimes when I do the 'volume' buttons on the side it says sound instead and doesn't seem to do f**k all to mute pornhub
