Just picked up my 182

I picked up my 182 on Wednesday and havent posted since as I have been out and about enjoying it. This is the best car I have ever driven for the price bar none. If there is anyone out there thinking about buying one...... Just do it, its mint. The speed on this thing is amazing although the wet & cold conditions prove for interesting driving. Looking forward to more fun over the Xmas period, trying not to lose that little card the DVLA give you, as I have to keep checking the spedo. All the very beast to the forum as I have had some good advice on here prior to my new purchase.

Go careful in the poor weather. yes they do handle well but for someone who is new to the car you will be more likely to push it that little bit too far for the conditions. Take it steady until spring then you can have some fun without binning it :D

Cheers,

Will definatley be heading the advice. This is much more of a dangerous time of year than most people think! (wet/ice etc)

I will also be looking forward to taking it out on some familiar roads near me (i.e Peaks) in drier conditions.

Cheers

BAHHHH! My Cup is currently down for Jan 20th delivery/pickup...Im having nightmares waiting. Too close yet too far

Everytime i get in the 182 i cant get over how great it is. Ok, it has a couple of niggles (minor rattle from glovebox) but price, performance, toys and handling are just incredible. Renault got this car so right, obviously Evo and Autocar agree with me ;).

i have had a wobbling rear end situation already in my 182, is very sensitive. problem was had i been the average unwary driver, id been in trouble asthis occured at about 70mph, going in to a roundabout

hopefully its not so nervous in dry!

Enjoy the car spartacus, but watch the greasy / icy roads as pointed out.

Rob, 70mph into a round about (I presume you were braking hard whilst turning) is a lot to ask of any car! I know what you mean about the car feeling a little nervous on certain bends on bumpy roards though (with Cup susp). I found droping my tyre pressures abit below the 33 front, 30 rear helps. Tend to run 30 front, 28 rear. Give it a try and see what you think.
