knocking noise on 172 mk2

Please help,

I have a nasty knocking noise on the front end of my 172 mk2. It has been in lookers southend several times and also had a renault U.K. technician on the case. The end conclusion was that the power steering pipe from the rack has to go through a series of tight bends to get where it needs to go thus causing a "chattering" noise under cornering pressures.

They say that this noise would be evident on all 172s is this true or just crap!!!

I dont have it, I had a knocking noise under wheelspin but it didnt happen when going round corners.

Not had my 172 long but so far there hasnt been any noises coming from it

open yor bonnet and try and rock your engine back and forward. if it feels loose then your engine mounts are loose, solving problem. obviously there is flex to allow for the engine when excellerating but it could have come loose or if its needed some work done and they didnt do it up tight enough, reno chenged the mounts on the mk2. I have my sources..

the car has been into reno 8 times in the 7months ive owned it,

they have changed the front suspension, drive shafts,worked on the battery mount and also the gearbox mount.

definetly a friday afternnon car.

mate, stick with it.. you WILL get it fixed, I know it really must be taking the enjoyment out of driving it, but just keep handing it back to Renault or complain to customer services, it deffinaly isnt supposed to make that noise.
