Korky's Ph1

Not updated this for a while, after fitting the new cup shocks and springs the tracking was out and scrubbed the two front rsr's off, fitted some ns2r's yesterday and tracked it up this morning, then I took a trip to clio turbo to pick my pms shifter up, after helping out Owen with the mad 197 turbo and haveing a catchup with the lads Andy kindly let me use the ramp to fit the shifter, with his help, it took about half an hour to fit, the result is crazy, it's soooo much better than the standard setup!
Big thanks to Andy for ordering it in for me and helping fit it, he has some really nice cars in at the moment too!
Will update with more progress soon!

I've heard a few people say they very similar tbh. Sounds good always liked the look of the pms kit

The car is staying and I'm getting a little diesel for work now, however the bike is still going :(

Got round to fitting my solid evol dogbone mount at the weekend and lowered the drivers seat a little for a nicer position, I put carpet back in too!

As some of you may guess by the title change the car is no longer boosted (for now) and is back to na, the reason for this will be seen in time.
Set a new personal record of getting an turbo'd engine out on my own of 1.5hrs which wasn't bad I though!
Whilst the engine was out I polybushes all the subframe with power flex black series, they were a nightmare of a job to change, so tight! the engine was given a new valeo clutch a new induction set up, ngk plugs, oil and filter, box oil, coolant and the block and box repainted. I had found play in my dci rack I had before for the epas and built up a looped rack with black series bushes to replace, on inspection of the dci rack the mounting points had bent, I'm not sure if this is down to sticky tyres and an aggressive geo setup as it's never been damaged.
Car feels great to drive and has that na scream back, I'll update the thread as it goes still and eventually my plan will unfold....

Well I haven't updated this for a while due to work and uni commitments and a bit of neglect, there's been a few changed recently, firstly I've order a few parts and bits I've been wanting for a while, the car had a full fluids change as it was around 6 months since the last one.
I got bored and stripped all the carpet out as it was tatty and painted the interior satin black. I ordered a cage and had it painted in my favourite colour, Grigio tolesto, a set of grey Luke harnesses to match. A little switch panel so I could begin to tidy up the interior loom when I get chance and when the new race battery arrives.
I didn't like the feel of ns2r's either so ordered a set of r888's in gg compound. They were a tw*t to fit!
Also ordered a pms exhaust with centre silencer to suit the 182 manifold I have bought, I've had nothing but bother with my current 'custom' exhaust which has been very disappointing considering it was done by a 'specialist' special being the key word for most of these so called professionals these days!
But hey ho, we live and learn. Still need to purchase a few parts that a specialist lost when my car was there, will get round to that shortly.

Lastly a friend who works for a Motorsport team kindly let me put my car on the corner weights and considering there is still audio, a lot of excess loom and tar the car with 33l of fuel came in at 933kg which I was very happy about, now I need to start taking excess weight out that's not needed and distributing weight proportionally as the front right was around 24kg heavier than the front left. If anyone has any advice on that, it would be great! If I remember rightly it was under a 1000kg with me in it and fuel, without having fuel I think it works out about 910kg [emoji16]

There's a few picture below for those of you that just look through the pictures like me!

What did you use for the interia? Just rattle cans Or did you get it done professionally? Also does your mate who works for a Motorsport company do corner weighting for anyone who is it just for there own use?

Car looks good btw :)

Just rattle cans mate the interior is by no means a professional finish but it does for what I want.

The corner weighing was just a favour, they don't offer it as a service buddy

Still better than how mine looks, looks terrible since the tar patches have been removed, did you use primer first?

Ah yes, the tar patches are horrible!

No mate just a little flat down with some 1000 grade paper where I could then warmed the paint tins up and painted away, as I say, not the best job but I've seen worse

So as a broken and hungover man this morning, I battled my way through a manifold and exhaust change, took around 2 hours to swap over to a 182 manifold on my own just by dropping the subframe which I though was pretty good, fitting the pms exhaust was a bit trick but nothing too bad, there are now no blows in this system and the quality is outstanding! it's quiet at idle which is great and has a nice tone when on throttle, it also has a rasp to it off throttle that almost sounds like the old pug sports use to, very pleased with the system

Been doing a few bits when I can, got a set of forge silicon hoses and been collection parts still, bonnet catch broke and my front bumper has never fit perfect so I got some aero catches to both and fitted a cmcomposites splitter and the bumper is now totally solid.
Rerouted the rear looms through the panels too so it tidy. Currently looking at rear defuser options and a few geometry changes.

Got a set of cup whishbones with power flex bushes, going to weld some strengthening plated to them when I get time and get them, subframe, beam powder coated to keep the under neath fresh.

Ordered a set of gaz coilovers fitted them and had a friend from a local race team set the car up, car is now running 1.5 degrees camber, 15minutes toe out.

Managed to loose a bit of weight on it too, 914kg with 15L of fuel and 988kg with me in it, happy with that, for now!

Oh bought a nice little 500hp mr2 as a little side project too

Hey mate, ph1 looks brilliant - got ny information on how you wired up the ignition and field pump to that switch? and have you still kept the ignition on the key?

Completed my abs delete this morning not to bad of a job really I used ford pressure deducting valves and a cup master cylinder if anyone's interested, 2x25ft composer brake line with fittings .
Just got to sort the dash light out now but I will splice it so it goes off with the oil pressure light.
If anyone's interested I have a wilwood bias valve for sale and a abs pump with looms.

Was my birthday Sunday and the girlfriend bought me some pms topmounts so will get hem fitted before I go away :)

Does anyone run pms topmounts and gaz coilovers on a ph1 and have the adjuster hitting the underside of the bonnet?
I also finally got round to replacing my heater box with that of a 1.2 one under the scuttle panel as I no longer have air con
