Ktec ultra to janspeed exhaust

as a few of you may be i wanted a quieter exhaust and after a bit of research i got hold of a secondhand janspeed system on here. I sold my Ultra straight through to "andywa" and the silenced middle section went to "willie".

but wasnt happy with the fit, as it seems to stick out too much, also the "garage" that fitted it wouldnt and said it couldnt sit further in...(also later on in the day my exhaust started blowing badly) took it to another "proper" garage who specialise in performance parts and servicing etc. they said it could be done but on showing me under the car, they said the previous gagrage had f**ked it all up and made a right mess of fitting the exhaust to my cat. The previous garage had pushed in and bent the middle section pipe to fit into (inside) the cat join and just filled the gaps in with sealer which burnt off and left holes hense why i was blowing. and they also f**ked an exhaust mount so i need a new one. The "proper" garage had to weld the middle section to the cat

finished exhaust sitting how i want it, ideally wanted it in another 5mm nearer the bumper but hay hoe, am happy with it.

yeah i actually like the sound better than the ultra, a bit deeper but quieter and not raspy loud like the ultra

Yes I did. Told them they fucked it up n all they said was, I told you that we might not be able to fit it. I was like what the f**k! But u have (kind of) fitted it. Only gave me half of my money back told because they said it was labour changes I paid for. They wasn't going to give me any but coz they had customers coming in I think they didn't want a mardy arsey guy in they telling them their work was shite lol. Not going bk there in a hurry!

Looks good mate. What is it with garages bodging exhausts! Found out on Saturday that someone had done a hodge job on mine previously. It ended up taking them 4 hours to fit the exhaust.

Well worth it if you don't want a chav'y noise. A brill powerful noise when you want it and a nice quiet noise at idle

Used to have this, is a nice fitment. lol at the camera fail at the end. glad you got it all sorted in the end must be a nice upgrade compared to standard.

Dont know, it's a nice move from the ktec. Never had a standard exhaust on. The car came with the ktec fitted on it

Yeah standard before. Someone had been welding pipe from the cat into the centre section probably because they didn't want to spend the cash replacing it.

Looks great mate, just sorry that I couldn't justify buying the ultra off of you a few weeks back... Glad that it's all sold and your happy with the new one, slash cut pipes look really good!
