KTR RAMCHARGER, any gud?

  clio 1.6
Been on k-tec racing an was looking at induction kits..
Was thinking about a ktr ramcharger, looks the part and is quite reasonably cheap £99.
But will it do the job?
quicker response and mayb increase accelaration..
Down fall dnt fink u can connect a air cold feed? or can u?
Have also been lookin a pipercross viper carbon induction kit but for £210 i wud rather hope the ktr does the same thing to be honest...

let me kno any ideas thanks..

it's an air filter, you will see next to no gain, bar added noise. may even lose power if it suffers heat soak as most open filters in small engine bays do. Buy an ITG panel for £30 and make a CAF.

Didn't really look at engine size - Green Cotton can be pretty good and they do a 1.6 Filter,
You can get CAF Ducting from many places, Should only need a Metre of it aswell and Buy some decent Stuff not that Foil Crap

I dont see the point of replacing the airbox for anything to be honest, work it out on cost/gain ratio and you'll see at BEST 2-3bhp on a 1.6 from these mods.

hey mate, i have this filter and tbh i dont think its worth the kash, if i was u get a carbon filter and enclose it, makes more sense really, and yes heat soak is a problem and it drives me nuts simply because you can feel the differance big time.
any one selling any gd filters?

Have you seen the airbox on a K4/JM?? Lol, it's pish....

I'd go with the Simota, I had it and it made a noticeably difference to throttle response. I would'nt say quicker but it felt more eager and snappy to drive.....

not seen one no, just going by the general consensus of spend £300 for pretty much no gains being pointless and spending £30 is a better idea... better still is not to bother at all imo

I'm being presumptuous on the price and basing things more generally on the F7's and F4's which gain f-all really. To be fair I'm not really up on the K4's, but cant see the point spending a lot for no gains, but £100 is certainly more reasonable than £300 lol. Might be worth doing then, cant see it making a lot of difference either way, but it will sound better if nothing else.

The airbox design is balls. The simota definately improved mine, I wouldnt say it was quicker but like I said above, massive improvement on throttle response and how eager it felt to pull......

Exactly, airbox above the exhaust maifold wrapped around the head and block, a pissy little filter, resonator pipe and dodgy fabric air feed..... Yum!
