Laquering carbon wrap?

I've tried to laquer the carbon wrap with some Halfords laquer I had but it gave a crap finish. I found that the laquer didn't give a shiny finish as I wanted and the laquer seemed to get into the wrap itself.

Would a 2 pack laquer give a better finish at a bodyshop for example?

i think what ever lacquer you use it wont get a great finish on vinyl

A friend of mine is a signwriter and he tried this and itdoesn't work. a
he also tried laying a clear vinyl over the carbon wrap but it does not take, I think its very hard to change the look without it looking s**t

It's not going to stick to it properly for a start as it's not got anything to key to.

It doesn't look bad just thought I could get a glossy finish!

there are two different cf wrap 3m stuff is thicker and duller were as the cheaper stuff looks similar but is a glossy finish. ive got both on my car and i perfure the cheaper stuff it gives a better finish

Stuff I had from eBay looked great, but was only good on flat surfaces
