Cheers for that!

Don't ya just love em...
Basically, I was on the outside lane going about 25mph and he was pulling out from behind a car on the inside lane, but instead of creeping out, he just pulled straight out and I was faced with a Vectra shaped wall and hardly got chance to use the brakes.. Brembo's are good, but no miracle worker..
Result ended in both airbags going off, me with a aching neck, burt face and arm and bruised hand.. but apart from that no other damage thank god! Tha car however has come off a little worse.. . Initial thoughts are...
New Bumper
New Bonnet
New front pannel
New headlights
New fog lamps
New Rad
New air con rad
New intercoolers
New grill
New wing
New air bags
New parts of dash etc etc
+ Whatever structure damage that may have been caused.. Couldn't get bonnet up to look, so no idea to be honest.
Will keep you updated though...

Shiz that looks pretty bad
We've got alot of polish people at work, and every one with a car has it pretty badly dented!

To be fair to the chap he was quite quick with his documents.. And they all seem to be legit. So fairly lucky on that one..
Just been to the Bodyshop and it's 50/50 as to whether it's going to be a write off. So i've got everything crossed that it is..

Thats lucky about his documents then. I know what you mean. I don't get it when people hope it's not a write off. IMO I'd want it to be. Just wouldn't feel the same repaired. Also have the fun of getting a new car.

yeah best to be a write off, get your money back as opposed to being left with a bent car (theyre never 100% when fixed) thats going to be worth a lot less with an accident on the history. where abouts was that by the way?

By law, if you require a replacement car the person responsible for the accident has to provide one, even if it means paying out of their own pocket. So as long as you don't mind having a 1 litre lupo for a week or so it doesn't really affect your travel ability.

sorry to hear mate!!!!......hope it all gets sorted ASAP!!!

who are your insurance company?? will you get somthing to move around with while the car is being taken care of?

Bummer Dude, really hate seeing driving enthusiasts get fisted by people trundling from A-B in a shed :dapprove:

Must pop over to TypeR.org to catch up...:)

That junctions in Lincoln isn't it? Think I recognise it. Its a nasty one, I've almost had a similar accident on a few occasions because people pull out without looking. Bet you caused a nice tailback with that one! ;)

Cheers guys...
Just spoke to bodyshop and it's going to be repairable (ARSE!) .. Oh well, at least it'll be even minter now with no stone chips.. lol..It's a company car, so got no problems with the resale value etc.. But would of still preffered a new car.. Never mind! But got to wait 3-4 ruddy weeks for it to be repaired though now...

course they can be repaired the same as before. so long as genuine parts as used it would be good as new.

and an accident is never recorded on the cars history in any way.
