Led light bars and strips

Just bought some wall units to go above my work bench and want led strips underneath or just whatever is super bright, is there anything I should be looking at in particular apart from chinese special on ebay?

Also does anyone know where you can buy led bars that can be used to mount say inside the car or on the bonnet? Like this

Screwfix sell some under cabinet led tube lights. Stuck one above my workbench and works well.

Also shoved some in the loft haha.

Edit: think they were the LAP ones they sell.

If you like making things, these are ace

This combined with this sort of thing I was just looking at

They are going under these wall cabinets (just ordered the cabinets not everything) Although do have a 7draw cabinet same modular system on its own coming

you will need a resistor to limit current

I found those lightbars I was after, couple different types from sealey. Havnt bought one yet though, just bought a mobile tool chest and now looking at more cabinets! o_O

@ZachB where are you cupboards from btw? The modular ones. Link please

Tried looking in this section for the convo about them but alas I failed

I got them from amazon for 93 each, they are Sealey APMS53

Cheaper here!

I just couldnt find anything decent for less, the reviews put me off really. This setup wasnt cheap but is really solid and a joy to work with, Im actually eager to use it unlike before Id dread having to find sockets and have no work space to use!

I think it's because I paid around 250 for my actual tool box I'm reluctant to spend close to £180 on what is essentially two boxes 😭😭

Yeah doesn't look too bad at all really
Suppose there'll be a greater light output when they eventually catch fire 🔥🔥😂
They broke :ROFLMAO: I accidentally left all the lights on in the garage for like 4 hours and they wouldnt change colour properly and I tried to wiggle the connections but no luck.

Got a similar setup and just picked up strips from amazon, the ceiling ones plug straight into the mains as they're 25m long, ridiculous amount of light overall.

Workbench: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0711K9JGY/?tag=cliospnet01-21

Ceiling: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07CXNRGHP/?tag=cliospnet01-21

Then connected them to a remote switch: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07YKFD952/?tag=cliospnet01-21
Are the LED strips the only light source in there? Looks really bright! Seriously jealous of the set up...

Thanks all, very kind!

I too considered the T8 lights and perhaps they are just as good an option for outright brightness, in the end I went with LED strips for best light distribution across the whole garage as this setup ensures there is no shade anywhere e.g. around the cars.

The garage is 7m x 6.25m and I used 2x of the 25m strips, and 2x of the 6m workbench strips - together they are "the only" light source, believe it or not they actually look brighter in person and therefore almost OTT bright.

Some more pics attached for reference.

So the reel from amazon is now out of stock, so may have to go with something like this once the roof is sorted
