life without engine tray

Sib

Car  Clio 172 (Silver)
Local garage snapped 2 of my bolts doing an oil change so currently its not fitted, any down side to this?

Mines got a tray!!! You should be able to fit it without the bolts, it has slots in to hold on to the subframe, you can just use ty-wraps through the bolt holes on the tray and subframe to hold it in place. One of the bolts on mine was missing, and a ty-wrap seems to do the trick!!

Its not the end of the world.

I ..er....modified mine :o Been driving around without it for 2 or 3 months no problem.

Extra weight saving. I can feel the difference ;)

loads ive seen don't have them fitted.... including all non RS models...

None RS models can come with them fitted as stndard just depends oftne garages forget to reatach them.

No huge need for it earodynamicaly it does make a difference not that anyone would be able to tell best thing is it keeps the oil dripping of the gearbox and engine on the tray and keept the engine away from the road dirt.
