Ive just had my drivers window smashed throgh. It was in my driveway in Middlesbrough. I heard a quiet thump, then the car alarm went off. I looked out of the window to find 3 little b*****ds about 11- 14 yr old running away. Ive rung the police. They said they will get back to me.

nope ive pissed no one off at all. Im onyl home at weekends as i work away from home, im on summer leave now for 4 weeks. Its a sh*te start to my summer leave.

Some companies let you get windows replaced without effecting your ncb. Think they let you do it once a year or something

all they done was smashed the window, they musnt have thrown anything as there is nothing in the car and nothing on the floor exept for thousands of little bits of glass. They must have done it from close up.

I wouldnt claim myself, not sure on the price for the 182, but the same window for my 306 was only 40 odd quid brand new and fitted.

Would guess it wont affect no claims - i know most fully comp policies accept cracked windscreens as a part of driving, so you pay 50 quid excess and its replaced - may be the same for this. Agree that if it will affect your no claims, its better not to claim - might cost you a bit more in the short term, but will save you a lot more when it comes to renewing your cover.

Your NCB shouldnt be affected by glass replacement, but that might have been windscreen only.. not 100% sure.

I rung elephant up and they said it doesnt affect my ncb, which is a relief. I havent got my Insurance certificate as its in the post as from this morning when i relised i mis-placed it. Anyway RAC Auto Windscreens said they will put a perspects replacement in for the time being, they took my £50 excess off me and all i have to do now is take it into them when i get my insurance certificate and they will fit the glass there and then.

Ohh another thread to make me REALLY angry. Little chav scum of the earth f**kers need their skin removing with a potato peeler before being bathed in acid and 2000 volts being put through their genitals.

As James says, there are just too many threads at the moment about 182s being damaged and vandalised by jealous sh*t-thick arseholes with nothing better to do.

I know how angry, frustrating and upsetting it is and Im starting to think its simply not worth having a nice car unless you can garage it every night..

Hope those kids get caught and tortured.

ive thought that many times....also ppl putting car park dents in too. it takes the enjoyment out of having a nice car!im forever worrying about mine. Sometimes i think i would love to just get a sleeper and not give a sh*t about the exterior or interior just the engine!
