As someone who has 7 years experience in the motor trade I can tell you that the market value of most the Clio range is naff all. Obviously the newer shapes do hold a value still but my ph1 for example would book at around 300-500.
Mods on cars are worthless in the trade and it pained me week in week out arguing with people on the weekend when they came in to see how much they could get for their modded corsa vxr's or vw golf's against a new impreza. The trade gives no f**ks if your coilovers are adjustable 6 million ways and your exhaust is made of titanium aint going to do profits any good when we have to block the car.
As said, you get what the market pays and in this instance we are that market, we put up with rattles and bumps and s**t electrics and chocolate gear boxes because we love the little French s**tbox that will have anything in the twisties.
