Lowerd 182

Hey peoples of clio land...

I have a FF 182 and i have lowered it on apex springs 30mm all round however it seems to sit lower than a typical 30mm drop and sits as low as my m8s 172 cup that is pretty much slammed on Gaz coily .

Anyway...I now have the problem where by my cat is rubbing and banging on pretty much every speed bump or lump in the road and it keeps getting knocked out of place from the join to the system thus creating a whistling noise and its doin my head in. :dapprove:

Has any one els had or heard of this problem?

Yeah, Take it easy, like real slow over them. Your exhaust mounts may be a bit past their best. Replacing them and then putting some hose/tubing in will help raise the exhaust.

Otherwise, get some coils and raise it up a little

Ye i have bin hitting speed bumps at like 1mph n it still catches :( all mounts were replaced with new ones and beefed up by stuffing and cable tying extra rubber in them. :S

Get a decat. Many people have had to go that route to avoid the exhaust hitting things.

For the MOT, I find that if you take your cat along as well, and ask the MOT station to change it over before they do the emissions test, and slip them some extra money... it passes fine.

Yeah cat sits low, lowest part of the exhaust system, and doesn't help that it sits in the middle.

Try undoing the nuts and push it up a bit further.

Otherwise change suspension cause my cars low and i only knock it every now and then.

Nothing wrong with apex

LOL.

AS u no dave from the donny meet last year;) i was runnin a decat :rasp: but iv just decided to stick my cat bak on coz i keep having lamber sensor issues n runnin the cat seems to be the only way round solving this problem.

I just ordered a set of Eibach Pro springs for K-Tec so hopefully that should fix my problem.
