A small update due to not having enough time .. repaired ecu bracket and mounted seats drivers side is done I just need to trial fit other side as I just mirrored for passenger side, need to make a little support for the air box

My mate spends all his free time welding Fords. Last time I saw him he'd spent 6 days straight welding pretty much every panel on a MK2 Cortina 5 door

The last few comments make me wonder which car maker is the worst for rust!? I like Fords too but they are sooo bad for rust!! Although I also like Alfa Romeo..... a lot and they are really really bad!!
I have to say on the whole Renault aren't the worst - I don't think anyway. Personally I rate Volvo best for protection

Cheers mate yeh I daily a Volvo 850 awesome car shame they don’t come like they did tbf I think it’s all depend on they life they have had ect as I had a Mk2 escort 4 door and that was original it didn’t have a single patch I sold it last year so was 40 years old it weren’t a garage queen either when I first got my hands on it

Update.. well she ran.. for about 20 mins then a burning smell then a charge light 🤦🏼‍♂️Strip down time So now fitted a new alternator also done all the heater wiring and A/C all the car loom is now done lights ect,
Both seat mounts are now ready for paint so is the ecu mount ect and modified a 172 miltek I’m gunner go stealth in future as I’m thinking it’s too jazzy got the brakes bled up and fitted my sexy wheels!! Doubt anyone would have a dog bone support up for grabs as mine is missing cheers again!👍
Oh and a shot of the daily in its natural habitat if it tickle anyone’s pickle

Another small update but a milestone I guess she moved under her own steem and stopped to also getting interior together leaving just cosmetics now 😆🤞started by sanding all the textured plastics down

yeh it is unfortunately.. I forgot the way I mounted it it’s easy to replace i will I’m hanging fire on gassing it up for the min it’s just in there to keep the system sealed
